Welcome, novices and experts alike to the wonderful sport of English lawn bowls. It is perhaps the only
outdoor activity where men and women, young and old, ex-jocks and ex-loafers, can all compete on an
equal footing.
But more importantly, it is easy to learn, very low cost, and provides gentle,
healthy exercise and pleasant social company for people of all ages. A day
on the green will get you out of the house and challenge you to some mental
and physical stretching.
Everyone is welcome to visit. Just watch games or receive free instruction from experienced
coaches using club bowls. All you need is a pair of flat-soled shoes.

 The St. Petersburg Lawn Bowling Club is the oldest formally organized lawn bowling club in Florida and tenth in the nation. Our club
offers an historic clubhouse, 2 bowling courts,
one with 8 rinks, the other with 5 rinks. On July 9, 1980, The St. Petersburg Lawn Bowling Clubhouse was added to the U.S. National
Register of Historic Places.
